Our Stance on NFT Minting Without Artist Permission: DAG & VooGlue’s Commitment to Integrity

As DAG (Decentralized Art Gallery) and its parent platform VooGlue continue to grow in visibility and adoption, we’ve received questions and concerns around NFT minting rights — specifically whether our system allows for the minting of NFTs without an artist’s consent.

This blog aims to clarify our position, reassure our community, and underscore our unwavering commitment to artist rights, ethical standards, and transparency in the evolving Web3 art ecosystem.

The Short Answer: No Minting Without Artist Permission

No NFTs, fractional NFTs (fNFTs), or any digital assets are minted without direct initiation from the original artist or verified rights holder.

Every minted work in our system — whether for display, resale, or fractional ownership — must be tied to explicit artist consent, proof of authorship, and verified provenance.

Why This Matters

The NFT boom has empowered many, but it also came with ethical challenges — including:

● Unauthorized minting of artwork by third parties

● Stolen or AI-generated imitations uploaded as NFTs

● Artists finding their work listed without knowledge or consent

These practices are not just unethical, they undermine the core values of decentralization, ownership, and authenticity that Web3 promises.

At DAG and VooGlue, we believe technology should elevate artists, not exploit them

Our Safeguards and Verification Process

To ensure all artworks on our platform are secure, authentic, and ethically sourced, we follow these safeguards:

● Artist-First Enrollment: Artists must initiate their listings or explicitly partner with curators or venues using our verification process.

● Permission-Based Minting: No artwork is minted into an NFT or fNFT unless the creator (or rightful IP holder) provides written and on-chain approval.

● Smart Contract Controls: Our blockchain contracts will be built to link NFTs directly to verified ownership — preventing unauthorized uploads or minting.

● Fraud Reporting Channels: We maintain a clear and fast system to report, investigate, and remove any suspicious or unverified listings.

VooGlue & DAG’s Role in NFT Minting

VooGlue and DAG do not mint NFTs or fNFTs on behalf of artists or collectors.

Our platforms are built to provide the technology, tools, and infrastructure for verified artists or rightful copyright holders to mint their own artworks, if and only when they choose to do so.

We are committed to the principle that only the artist or legal copyright holder can initiate NFT or fNFT minting.

We Lead with Integrity

Web3 needs platforms that respect both innovation and the people who make it meaningful — the artists. DAG and VooGlue stand firmly for ethical minting, creative empowerment, and blockchain transparency.

We invite artists, collectors, curators, and communities to be part of a system built not on exploitation, but on collaboration, permission, and trust.
